We set up LPG bottles, run new gas lines and connect your appliances across Pottsville and the Tweed Coast.

Thinking about gas for cooking, heating or hot water? Getting it into your home is a job for a licensed gasfitter. We handle gas installation in Pottsville and the Tweed Coast, from one cooktop point to a full new setup.
Maybe you're switching from electric, building an outdoor kitchen, or buying a home with no gas at all. Each job needs the line sized, run and tested properly, then signed off under NSW rules.
An LPG setup is more than a bottle on a stand. It needs a regulator, the right pipe, and a safe spot for the cylinders. Salt air near the beach is hard on exposed metal fittings, so where those parts sit matters.
We're based in Pottsville, so homes in Koala Beach, Seabreeze and Black Rocks are close by. If you've just bought in one of these estates, look for a compliance plate near the gas bottles. No plate can mean the setup was never inspected.

Most gas problems at home trace back to how the system was set up.
"The bottle ran low and the oven just wouldn't light."
"We swapped to a full bottle and the BBQ still gets nothing."
"The cooktop never seems to get properly hot."
"We bought the place and have no idea if the gas was signed off."
"We want gas, but we don't know where the bottles can go."
A good gas install should work every time you turn the knob. We plan the setup around the appliances you have now and the ones you might add later.
A spare always ready
Two bottles and a changeover valve mean one is always in reserve. When the first runs dry, the supply moves to the full one and you keep cooking.
Paperwork handled
We attach the compliance plate and lodge your certificate of inspection with NSW Fair Trading. You get a copy for your home records.
Gas where it's meant to go
We fit the right regulator and fittings for the appliances you run. Every joint is leak-tested before we pack up.
A plan before we start
We show you where the bottles and lines will go before any work begins. No surprises once the job is under way.
A strong, steady flame
The gas line is sized for every appliance running at once. Your cooktop keeps its heat even when the heater is on too.

Every gas install starts with where the bottles go and what they need to run. This page covers homes, from one cooktop point to a full kitchen and outdoor area, as part of our gasfitter services. Cafés, shops and bigger gas loads fall under Commercial Gasfitting.

We agree where the bottles and lines will go before any work starts.
We set up the bottle position, regulator and changeover valve.
The gas line is run and connected to each appliance point.
We test the whole installation for leaks and defects, then fit the compliance plate.
We lodge your certificate of inspection and show you how to change a bottle and turn the gas off.
A new connection for a single appliance follows the same steps, just on a smaller scale.
Local considerations: Coastal salt air across Pottsville and the Tweed Coast speeds up corrosion on exposed fittings and outdoor units, so placement and protection matter here more than inland. Many local homes are now 20 or more years old, and older gas and electrical connections sometimes need upgrading to support a continuous flow system properly. Many Tweed Coast homes were built from the early 2000s onward, so original gas fittings may now be 20 years old. Near the beach, sandy soil can also shift over time. Where a line runs underground, we choose its route and protection with that in mind.
Our guarantee: If any part of your new gas setup isn't right, we come back and fix it free.
Gas work in NSW is licensed work, and LPG installs come with their own paperwork. These are the rules your installer has to follow, and what you should get at the end.
The work must be done by a gasfitter licensed with NSW Fair Trading.
The whole installation must be tested for defects once the work is done.
A compliance plate goes on the installation, and you receive a certificate of inspection within 5 business days, lodged with NSW Fair Trading.
If a part is defective, the gasfitter must attach a defect notice to it.
TruFlow holds NSW Contractor Licence 290544C, which covers plumbing, drainage and gas fitting. The paperwork is part of every gas install we do.
Gas is one trade where cutting corners isn't an option. You want someone licensed, insured and close by if anything needs a second look.
20+
Years Plumbing Experience

Our NSW Contractor Licence 290544C covers all three trades. That matters when a gas job also touches water, like a gas hot water unit or a new laundry. You deal with one team instead of booking a plumber and a gasfitter separately.
Gas work happens inside your home and around your property. We carry $20 million in public liability insurance, so your home is protected while we work. It's a real figure, not a vague "fully insured" line.
TruFlow is family-owned and based on Overall Drive, Pottsville. We've traded locally since September 2011, first as Doyle's Plumbing and as TruFlow since 2016. Our uniformed team are locals, not rotating subcontractors.
If you're a pensioner or senior, ask about our discount when you book your free quote. It's our way of looking after locals on a fixed income. The work and paperwork are the same, just at a better rate.
Before you let anyone work on your gas, it helps to hear from people who've had us in their homes. We're rated 4.9 stars from Google reviews.
LPG bottles must sit outside on a solid, stable base, in a well-ventilated spot. They need to be kept away from windows, wall openings, drains, pits and anything that could ignite.
LPG is heavier than air, so it can collect in low spots if it leaks. We look at your yard and agree on the safest spot before we fit anything.
No. In NSW, gas fitting work must be done by someone licensed with NSW Fair Trading. That includes connecting appliances and running new gas lines.
You should get a certificate of inspection, and a compliance plate should be attached to the installation. Keep the certificate with your home records. It shows the setup was tested and signed off.
Most homes run two 45kg bottles with a changeover valve. When one runs empty, the supply moves to the full one, so you're not left without gas. We'll talk through the valve options with you before the install.
Mains gas in north-east NSW comes through the Allgas network, which supplies Tweed Heads and Banora Point. Pottsville isn't listed in its coverage, so homes here run on LPG bottles.
If a part is defective, NSW rules require the gasfitter to attach a defect notice to it. We'll explain what's wrong and what it takes to fix it, so you can decide your next step.
Running out mid-cook, a flame that never gets hot, or no paperwork at all. Each one starts with how the gas was set up.
We'll come out, look at your appliances and yard, and show you where everything should go. You get a clear quote before any work starts, free and with no obligation.
Once it's in, your gas is tested, plated and lodged with NSW Fair Trading. The work is covered by our NSW Contractor Licence 290544C and $20 million public liability.
